About the Seminar
Each year, New Jersey HOBY hosts over 300 high school sophomores from around the state for a 3-day conference filled with keynote speakers, panels, skill-building activities, enlightening conversations, and opportunities to network with accomplished peers and professionals
What is HOBY?
HOBY programs are conducted annually throughout the United States, serving local and international high school students. HOBY programs provide students selected by their schools to participate in unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences.

Many of these volunteers are alumni of the program, but others come from afar to join the HOBY family. There are tons of ways to get involved. Click here for more information!
Service Hours
At the end of each seminar, we challenge our Ambassadors to complete a minimum of 100 hours of community service in one year. To date, we’re proud to say that our alumni have risen to meet this challenge, donating over 250,000 hours of service to nonprofits in New Jersey and around the globe.
